BARREL.DIGITAL — A NEW KIND OF DATA CENTER
Artificial intelligence powered by the sun. Data that never leaves your site.
Barrel Digital brings a complete AI data center wherever it is needed: solar power, 125 kW / 261 kWh JA Planet storage, GPU servers and open-source models. Your data stays on site; the power grid and internet become optional.

AI on premise for those cannot let data leave.
Private, off-grid AI data centers for the organizations that need data control, continuity and independence the most.
Healthcare
Health data on site: assisted diagnostics, reports, records.
ExplorePublic administration
Protocol, acts, front office: traceability and human decision-making.
ExploreDefence and security
Air-gapped AI, own energy, open-weight models.
ExploreBusiness
Trade secrets in house, predictable costs, integration.
ExploreAlso for: international cooperation, civil protection, research and agriculture
The intelligence is here. The control stays with you.
A private AI data center is not a remote service: it is an asset on your premises, powered and governed by you.
Your data stays yours.
Prompts, documents and results stay on site. No foreign cloud, with GDPR and AI Act governance built into the design.
Your energy is yours.
Solar generation and JA Planet storage can sustain about 14 kW of GPUs day and night per Planet, subject to the site’s energy study.
The models stay open.
Open-source AI under licenses such as MIT and Apache 2.0. Install once, run locally and retain control of the infrastructure.
Four modules. One independent system.
Solar energy feeds local computing; Barrel OS orchestrates the whole system while the customer’s data stays inside.
Energy module
1–6 JA Planet units, 125 kW each. 261 or 522 kWh of storage and up to 250 kWp of solar per Planet. Optional 25–125 kVA generator.
Compute module
42/48U GPU servers with liquid or air cooling, NVMe storage and firewall. In a cabinet, rack or container.
Connection module
Starlink plus a second link, local LAN and Wi-Fi, encrypted VPN to an EU node. No sensitive data leaves the site.
Barrel OS
Energy-aware orchestration, vLLM/SGLang model serving, searchable RAG documents, Barrel interface, monitoring, updates and GDPR / AI Act logs.

Real infrastructure. Built for real places.
From one barrel to a whole data center.
Five sizes of private intelligence. Each one starts with the same idea: computing wherever it is needed.
Barrel Compute
AI at the edge. In a barrel. Built to bring local intelligence into even the most remote places.
DISCOVER EDGE
Sized to your site. Never the other way around.
The load follows the battery.
Not the other way around.
Barrel OS reads battery charge and solar forecasts from JA Planet, then adapts AI capacity in real time. Intelligence that knows when to accelerate and when to preserve energy.
